CONTROVERSY surrounds the Gordon Setter who won the gundog group last night after he was put up by the sister of one of his co-owners. Sh Ch Lourdace Fulcrum belongs to David Alcorn, David Crowther, Jose Baddeley and Fiona Swan and was bred by Mrs Baddeley, who is group judge Di Arrowsmith’s sister.
DOG WORLD asked the Kennel Club for its views and secretary Caroline Kisko said: “In this case no rules have been broken and we would not question the integrity of the judge.”
Only a few hours earlier four-year-old Sh Ch Lourdace Fulcrum had won the Vulnerable British and Irish Breeds competition, going straight from that to his triumph in the group.
Mr Alcorn and Mrs Arrowsmith declined to comment
