THOSE travelling to Crufts may suffer the knock-on effect of the six-month closure of the southbound slip road at junction 5 of the M6 at Castle Bromwich.
It closed on Sunday and will remain so for 25 weeks, the Highways Agency said.
Drivers are being encouraged to take alternative routes – the A38 through Minworth to junction nine of the M42 for all those wanting to travel either north or south on the motorway. Those travelling in either direction of the M6 are being urged to travel on the A38 to junction six of the motorway.
Meanwhile, maintenance is to continue at junction 6 of the M6 at the A38M Aston Expressway and Spaghetti Junction, where repair work is not likely to finish until spring.
