The razzamatazz of Crufts 2013 is now pretty much behind us and we can all begin to make plans for the rest of the show season, many of you hoping to qualify your dog for next year or planning a mating to produce happy, healthy pups – probably...
Unlike the other Dog World columnists, I’m not a major ‘name’ in the world of dogs. I’m not a leading breeder, a globe-trotting judge or even a regular on the championship show circuit.
By the time this is printed, Crufts 2013 will have folded up its benches, packed away its trade stands and rolled up the green carpet for another year. It’ll be the third week in March and please, oh please, the daffs will finally have opened...
A busy time for agility by Laura Chudleigh Hello and welcome to Agility in Motion, I’m Laura Chudleigh and I’ll be here twice a month to report on agility shows and the agility world’s major competitions. I will also have a section from next time on how to start agility with training tips...

How can I thank readers enough for their response to this column? You really are stars and I am happy to share your views. Hopefully we will all be the wiser for reading some of your experiences.
It’s hard to imagine that the dog world will be exempt from reform as the global world continues to travel through uncertain economic times. Add the huge advances in technology and communications and most would agree that reform is essential for...
Just after Christmas I went to a show in the Kennel Club building at Stoneleigh. Of course I’ve been there before – to seminars, meetings, and as a judge – but this was the first time I had visited as an exhibitor.
For those of you who don’t already know, I am a proud Cornishman. I consider Bristol to be part of the West Midlands and London looks rather like another country or, indeed, another planet.
