Pup of the Year
Overall winner of the National’s heat of the Pro Plan/Dog World Pup of the Year competition across the four days was Brian Foster and Phil Jones’ homebred nine month old Beagle Stormpasture Trumpette, at only her second show.
The winner of the WELKS Pro Plan/Dog World Pup of the Year heat from an entry of 331 judged by Terry Nethercott was the 11-month-old Pointer dog, Ruth Booth’s Kanix Garfunkel.
National Terrier’s winner of the Pro Plan/Dog World Pup of the Year stakes from 64 entries was the Dandie Dinmont Inzievar Sparkling Silver, owned and bred by Frances Chapman-King.
From an entry of 24 at the Scottish Breeds, Frank Kane’s choice to go through to compete in the Pro Plan/Dog World Pup of the Year final was Steve and Alison Barrett’s 11-month-old Rough Collie Brooklynson Fifth Avenue. This was only her second show.
The UK Toy Pro Plan/Dog World Pup of the Year heat winner from an entry of 71 under Brenda Banbury was the ten-month-old Pekingese, Bert Easdon and Philip Martin’s Yakee All Done And Dusted.
