Photographers in M40 carnage
THREE dogs have died following a road traffic collision in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Well known international photographer Lisa Croft-Elliott, Carrie Russell-Smith and Anastasia Egorovawere were travelling in their motorhome which was hit by a lorry between junctions 11 and 12 on the M40 northbound, they were on their way to a Corgi specialty.
Ms Croft-Elliott and Ms Russell-Smith were uninjured but Miss Egorova has been taken to hospital and may have a broken leg.
It is believed that the Toy Poodle Argoel Road Rage died in the motorhome along with a Chinese Crested puppy. Three Cardigan Corgis escaped. Two have since been found including Am Lux Ch Yasashiikuma Telltail Dbledare (Darren). The group-winning Croat Ch Telltail Sweetdreams at Llaneirwg (Sweetie) has died and the Belfast RBPIS winner Waggerland Last Laugh for Llaneirwg (Smirk) has been found and is being treated by vets.
The motor home in which the women were travelling had broken down and was in the hard shoulder of the motorway. Reports suggest they had been waiting for several hours for a recovery vehicle. Dog World understands that at least one recovery firm would not attend because there were dogs in the vehicle.
