Wire Fox Terriers
While the entry was poor I was delighted with my principal winners.
PD (0). JD (3,1a) 1 Lilley’s Wyregait Mister Right, well presented dog, good head & ears, nice neck & shoulders, short coupled, well set tail, moved & showed well; 2 Frayne’s Flash Harry So Sassie, good type. A little finer all through than 1. Good head & ears, short coupled. Needs more coat & furnishings to complete the picture.PGD (1) 1 Averis & Barker’s Saredon Mister Nice Guy, very nice dog, excellent head & ears, in first class order. Needs to tighten a little in front movement but very stylish all through. CC, BOB & G3. LD (2) A. OD (5,2) 1 Schoneberg’s Ch Diamant Vd Schonen Bergen, heavyish marked dog who excels in head, neck & shoulders. Slightly longer cast then the CC winner. Presented very well as I would expect from this handler, moved OK. RCC; 2 Booton’s Boowire Tudor Minstrel, nice dog, good head & ears, short coupled, moved OK. Just not the presentation of 1; 3 Free & Moakes’ Blackdale Invader. VD (0).
PB & JB (0). PGB (2,1) 1 Thomas’ Gosel Emma’s Child, decent bitch, nice head & ears. Quite tall & rather long cast. Well prepared, showed well. LB (1) A. OB (3) 1 De Munter Uiterwijk’s Firefox van Foliny Home, lovely type bitch, very short, compact body, sound as a pound, moved & showed very well, in good form. CC which I was pleased to hear made her up on the day; 2 Schoneberg’s Diana vd Schonen Bergen, litter sister to winner of OD with similar attributes. Excels in head & neck. Longer cast than 1, not using ears to advantage. Presented to a very high standard; 3 Gething’s Whittingford Warm Glow. VB (0).
