A NEW breed record holder was crowned at Richmond when Mick and Stacey Oxley’s Manchester Terrier Ch Digelsa Double Entendre (Ch Calastoa Star Light ex Digelsa Dynasty) took her 24th CC. They were all won under different judges.
The judge at Richmond was Jane Lilley – a last minute replacement for Maureen Micklethwaite who was unable to judge. Mrs Lilley had awarded Double Entendre BP at City of Birmingham in 2007
Through her sire she is a granddaughter of previous record holder, Ch Brookstream Beamish, who in turn took the record from her other grandsire Ch Digelsa Don The One.
Beamish’s son, Ch Brookstream Marcus Banks, took DCC and BOB at Richmond and went on to second in the terrier group.
Double Entendre, pictured above, also has two group 4 wins and a group 3 and was the National Terrier Open Show Dog of the Year winner for 2008.
She won her first CC at LKA 2007 under Roger Crooks, her second at WELKS ‘08 under Gillian Reeve followed quickly by ther third at The National from Bill Browne-Cole.
She was BIS at the breed club championship show last year and won the CC at Crufts this March.
