Pedigree to cease stakes sponsorship

PEDIGREE’s stand was dismantled and removed from Bournemouth ch show on Thursday and the following day the company confirmed that it was planning to withdraw sponsorship of the stakes classes.
A spokesman told DOG WORLD: “Our support of the Pedigree stakes will continue in 2008, culminating with the finals celebration in January 2009. We have no plans to run the Pedigree stakes in 2009.

Second KC ban for judge

A RHODESIAN Ridgeback championship show judge and exhibitor has been banned for four years for harassing a club officer.
S John Baldwin, formerly of Harrogate, became the subject of a recent A43 hearing of the Kennel Club’s Disciplinary Sub-Committee after he was bound over by Oldham Magistrates in December under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
