After a glass of wine, I gave in and paid the £9.99. It is well worth it. I have particularly enjoyed the agility coverage. Although I have to say that the ABC class - Anything But Collies - great idea, but they were all collies by any other name, i.e. herders. My original gripe stands. There's very little breed coverage. Watching BOB being awarded to one or two breeds doesn't do it for me. The group coverage has been good and detailed. Frank Kane is brilliant at giving the key features of any breed, plus he has a great eye for a winner. Costume wearers and dancers I can live without thank you. No criticism, just personal preference.

My "alter ego" Kevin Colwill is doing the Dog World review of Crufts tv coverage so I'm watching especially closely. I agree that More4 production values are really suffering from not having the BBC's perspex bubble. Their set up in the main arena is fine when the arena is quiet but not when it's noisey! Maybe there is a technical solution they can bring in with the microphones, failing that a switch of studio location! There seems to be quite a bit of critical comment on the web but it's still a learning process for them. I'll not pass a final judgement until after BIS on Sunday. I have seen a preview of "Good Dog/Bad Dog" to be screened on More4 after BIS on Sunday, I'm not giving anything away by saying I think all health focused breeders/exhibitors will approve.

Very frustrating to hear the roar of the crowd and Hound group commentry live, but not quite audible in the background, as the Battersea reps were being interviewed by Clair Balding. Then to have to wait until the end of the programme for the results. Why no live coverage?
