In several articles in DOG WORLD and elsewhere I have alluded to the underlying animal rights movement that lies behind much of the recent hysteria created by the BBC programme and the anti-Kennel Club stance taken by some of the major animal charities.

Birmingham & District GSD Association championship show on Saturday September 20 and open show Sunday September 21, there’s no question that Kathy Hood and her helpers did a tremendous job getting this weekend show up and running after the disaster that befell Coventry the previous weekend.

Just to prove the point that the art of letter writing is still very much alive and well, two most interesting letters have just arrived about designer dogs.
The first from Marina Noel in St Brelade, Jersey, who says that she could not believe it when she saw my column of September 5 about designer dogs as only that week she had been having exactly the same sort of conversation with a friend of hers.
