WHAT BEGAN as an idea by Gavin Robertson a few weeks after he and Jilly the Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen won best in show at Crufts snowballed into an event which will be remembered by the world of pedigree dogs for years to come.

THE KENNEL Club has elected its sub-committee members, who will undertake a three-year term from this month. The chairmen of these sub-committees will be elected during the next few months at the first meetings.

Fun family companion dog show and fair in aid of South Glos stray dogs
Sunday 18th August 2013 at Avon Riding Centre for the Disabled, Kings Weston Rd, Henbury, Bristol BS10 7QT. Dog Show is under cover. Open 10am, pedigree and novelty classes with prizes and rosettes to 5th place. Pay on day. Wide range of stalls many animal themed, from doggy things to horsey to crafts. Refreshments, cakes, BBQ etc. Professional Dog Portrait photography on the day! Lots to do - from Agility and dog activities to Good citizen and obedience display, meet the Dog Rescues (and Cat rescue) and Avon Riding Centre staff. Plus kiddies activities.
